Centro E.P.A Monterroso

The Center E.P.A. Monterroso, attached to the Ministry of Education of the galician regional government, is located inside the Penitentiary Center of Monterroso.








Being in the national highway 610 between the towns of Guntín and Monterroso, belonging to the province of Lugo. Access output Lugo is performed by the national highway 540, to liaison with the national 610.





The Center E.P.A. Monterroso is responsible for the formal education of the inmates of the Penitentiary Center. His educational supply is very broad. Not only are taught all levels of education to the secondary level, but also there is a great demand for Spanish classes for immigrants, because a high percentage of the population are of different nationalities, with students from over 50 nationalities.





The Educational Center consists of five classrooms and a classroom audio-visual media in general use. In addition, the library is located in the prison, in addition to the units of faculty and staff of the Center of Corrections in charge of relations between the two institutions
