El jueves 25 de junio, a las 20'00h. tuvo lugar en el Centro Sociocultural de la Villa de Monterroso la presentación del libro-memoria del proyecto europeo Grundtvig "El corazón lejano" subvencionado por la alcaldía de Monterroso.
On Thursday, June 25th, at 20'00h. we had at the Sociocultural Centre of the village of Monterroso the presentation of the memory-book of the European Grundtvig project "the heart faraway" funded by the Mayor of Monterroso.
El acto, al que acudió numeróso público de la localidad,fue presidido por el alcalde de Monterroso, D. Antonio Gato, quien resaltó la estrecha colaboración entre la alcaldía de Monterroso y el Centro Penitenciario. En el mismo intervinieron el director del Centro Penitenciario, D. Víctor Fraga, el Director del Centro de Adultos y coordinador del proyecto, D. Pedro Cantero y dos de los internos participantes en el proyecto: D. W.L.L. y D. M.L., de China y Francia respectivamente.
The event, with numerous assistants of the village, was chaired by the mayor of Monterroso, Mr. Antonio Gato, who spoke about the cooperation between the mayor's office and the prison of Monterroso. After the presentation, we had the participation of the director of the penitentiary Centre Mr. Victor Fraga, the director of the Adult Centre and project coordinator, Mr. Pedro Cantero and two inmates involved in the project: Mr. W.L.L and Mr.M.L., from China and France respectively.
Cerró el acto el inspector de educación D. Xesús Pablo González Moreiras, que resaltó la labor de reeducación y reinserción que se lleva a cabo en el Centro de Adultos y el Centro Penitenciario.
Tras el acto, los asistentes pudieron recoger ejemplares de los libros. Además, los dos internos fueron solicitados para firmar los libros, acto que resultó de especial motividad.
The event was closed by the inspector of education Mr. Xesús Pablo Gonzalez Moreiras, who highlighted the work of rehabilitation and reintegration realized by the Adult Centre and the Penitentiary Centre.
After the ceremony, attendees were able to collect some copies of the books. In addition, two inmates were required to sign the books, and that action was really emotive.
El acto de presentación y entrega del libro del proyecto Grundtvig "el corazón lejano" fue recogido por los periódicos locales y regionales en los días siguientes.
